Society defines me by one of the following labels: Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Lawyer.
But my heart has always told me that at my core I am a Lover- of people, food, travel and mostly of good books!
I have been reading romance novels since I was 12 years old and could get to the library by myself. If you are an avid reader of this genre then you know what I mean when I say that my family and friends despaired that I wasn't reading "real" literature.
But, none of that ever deterred me. I am Romantic. To the bone. I was born on Valentine's Day and maybe it's because everyone celebrates their loved ones on the day that I celebrate being able to see another year of life, but I have always been and will always be, in love with love.
This is an exciting time to be a reader! When I was growing up, you went to the library, got a card, browsed the aisles and checked out what you could carry, read the books and then took them back. There were book stores, but not a lot of ways to get there for me.
Now, with the birth of e-books and the super duper device known as a Kindlegetting your hands on a good book has never been so easy, or affordable.
Authors can afford to self- publish so work that we would have never have seen the light of day is now available for us to savor.
Kristen Ashley- on of my absolute favorite authors started out as a self published author and THANK GOD for that because honestly, her books are a gift to her readers!
I started making time to read again a couple of years ago when my youngest child was old enough to play without me hovering. I started with a suggestion from a website I got newsletters from. The first ebook I bought was Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale. Then I read Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase. And the rest is history. I didn't start reading contemporary romance until about a year ago when I discovered Sylvia Day's Crossfire Series...and that got me hooked on the genre.
Now, I've ventured into paranormal, time travel and erotica. There is something to love for everyone.
The thumbnails on the right side of my page are links to my favorite books. I'm going to be constantly adding reviews and giving you links to new releases, upcoming releases and DEALS, SALES and GIVEAWAYS.
My reviews are honest, fair and if I got the book other than by paying for it, you will know. I know you work hard for your money. I know you can't afford to waste it. So, I won't recommend a book that I don't think is worthy of your hard earned dollar! I am an Amazon Affiliate so when you follow my links, I earn a referral fee. But, like I said, I won't recommend anything I don't truly love. And if you join Kindle Unlimited you can borrow as many books as you want (10 at a time but no limit on how many you borrow over the course of the month) There are also a LOT of great book on amazon for free.
Also, if you have a library card, I encourage you to download the Overdriveapp and you can link it to your library account and borrow books digitally) Check out overdrive here
