Lori Foster never disappoints. She knows what works and she sticks with it. I have always enjoyed her stories, there is an inherent simplicity that is always present even when the plots become complicated and she does this by creating straightforward characters and doing away with the over used "big misunderstanding trope" that we all know and hate so well!
This a re-release for three short stories. Booker's story is featured first, but we get to meet Axel (his brother) and Cary (his friend) right away.
Booker is feeling the holiday spirit and is ready to make a move on his next door neighbor, Frances. He's been harboring feelings for her and is finally ready to make his fantasies a reality. Only problem? Booker's got a girlfriend. That problem is dispatched pretty quickly and it clears the way for him to see if Frances returns his feelings. Frances is wary of Booker, she has had feelings for him for a long time, too and but she doesn't want to be hurt by any fallout from being a rebound for him. Will these two make their Christmas wishes come true? This sexy, sweet story will let you feel like you are part of their story.
Cary's story is next. He has had a thing for AXel's nurse Nora forever. He has asked her out repeatedly, but she always shuts him down. When he overhears her talking about why she doesn't want to date him, he uses his insider knowledge to gain the upperhand. This story is a romantic and sweet. You will enjoy watching Cary go all out to make sure he gets his girl!
Axel's story is last, but certainly not least. It's the longest of the three stories and he and his love interest Libby are strangers at the beginning of the story. Axel's not cut out for relationships and he avoids complications. But, after one very steamy encounter with Libby, he is ready to break all of his own rules. Liibby is focused on finishing school so she get away from her unkind uncle. When she falls ill and Axel insists on taking care of her, Libby will start to wonder whether or not her single minded focus is actually a good idea. Will Axel be able to convince her to take chance on him? This story is funny and the sex scenes are HOT!
Lori Foster gives us what we need: Uncomplicated, Easy and oh so swoonworthy!!
