Hello Lovers!

34

Today is a reading day for me.  I'm not posting any new reviews...

I'm reading a couple of books at once...I know that sounds a little manic, but it's what I always do. I actually listen to audiobooks on my commute to and from work (65 miles round trip!!) so, I am always listening to something different than I am reading on my kindle. I got my kindle as a birthday present to myself almost 2 years ago. I LOVE my kindle. I never go anywhere without it and it's my dessert island must have! I have dozens of books downloaded and the ease of downloading new content makes it really easy to get your hands on your newest must have title. I have a kindle fire, so I also use it to buy audiobooks. And the audiobooks that are whispersync ready let you pick up where you left off from listening to read and vice versa! Can you tell that I love it??!? Anyway, I just finished reading a book titled Fairytale Lost by Lori Hendrick. It was an interesting read and will post my review in the next couple of days.  It's a new release and free to Kindle Unlimited members.  Otherwise, it's $2.99 to purchase.  It's actually a rare find because the author is a woman of color and so is the main character.
If you read contemporary romance regularly, you will know what an anomoly this is.  It was a little off the beaten path for me (not because of the character's race) and so it didn't leave me feeling the way most of the books I read normally do.

I also reading Devoted in Death by JD Robb.  It's bok 41 in JD Robb's "In Death Series".  If you haven't checked this series out, I highly recommend it.  JD Robb is a pen name for Nora Roberts, so if you are familiar with her work, you'll know that you're going to get consistently good writing and exciting stories.  Leiutenant Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke are the main characters in this series.  Eve is a New York City cop and Roarke is the drop dead gorgeous billionaire who loves her.  Every story is a different case and each one is solved by the end of the book.  But what keeps readers coming back is the burning love between Eve and Roarke that never waivers and only seems to get stronger with time.  They are a great couple! Very diferent from each other.  The stories are also set in in the mid 21st century.  Book 1 Naked in Death, was written in 1995 and it's actually cool to see how much of the technology that Robb created for her characters in the story are actually things that have been invented and are being used today.  I recommend you start with book 1 and then read in order.  You'll get a chance to see how Eve and Roarke meet and how their respective pasts unfold as their relationship progresses.  And Roarke is a DREAMBOAT!  If you've read any of the books in the the Romance subgenre "Billionaire Romance" you'll find that Roarke was the inspiration for a lot of the male characters in those stories.  Especially in Sylvia's  Day's Bared to You series.

Anyway, how do you read?  Paperback or Kindle or both? And do you use audio books?
The newest Kindle Fire is only $49.00! It's an amazing tablet that I've bought for my son, my sister and am about to buy for a co-worker.  Here is the link to purchase if you are interested: .

I'm off to get my kids fed, bathed and finish off homework so I can settle down to finish my books and write some reviews!   What are you reading?
