This was a difficult read for me. I hate to be the negative nancy at this review party, but this just did not do it for me. I didn't find it romantic, heart warming, powerful, riveting or any of those other things that other reviewers did. This is the publisher's blurb

It doesn't give away very much so I went in not know exactly what to expect.
It started off strong. I really had high hopes for the story. Let me just say that I think the author's writing is beautiful. It is just the story itself that didn't sit well with me. Their love story didn't seem remotely plausible, the twist was predictable and I didn't find anything satisfying in the conclusion of the story. The male character was actually really interesting, I wish he had a stronger female partner.
This get 3.5 stars from me because the writing is great and as I said it starts off really strong. It stayed strong until the "twist" and went downhill from there for me. The female character's change of heart just seemed unreal and the male character's seemed like it happened to fast. I wouldn't discourage you from reading it. I would encourage you to read a review that gives it high ratings to see if the things this blogger liked are things you might like, too. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
