Perfection, thy name is Gabriel Bishop! What a delicious hero and a toe curling story! THIS is what I want when I read a romance--Gabriel has it all, looks, brains, money and a heart of gold- Charlotte hit the jackpot! This divine story sucks you from page one and won't let you go until the very last word.
Let's dive into the good stuff!

From the author's summary:

"Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.

And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.

Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.

If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on."

This was a really cleverly written contemporary romance. The Mouse v. T-Rex was added comic relief to a story that had some dark elements. I loved that there was no big misunderstanding that wastes the readers time. I HATE those. There is a slow build up to the characters finally getting together. Don't misunderstand, slow does not equal dull in this story. The tension between these two is off the charts. And Gabriel's pursuit is sweet, respectful and unwavering. And when they finally get together, they BURN up the pages. Gabriel has got the hots for Charlotte in a serious way and he is not shy about letting her know. I am telling you, I had to stop and blow out a couple of breaths while I was reading this. The sex scenes were perfect and actually realistic.

This is my second Nalini Singh book. The first was one of her paranormal romances and I thought it was spectacular. I didn't realize I was reading this out of order until I had already started. But, it can totally be read as a stand-alone. It's a quick, easy very enjoyable read.
