L.O.V.E! This was a fabulous, thrilling, well paced read. This is summary blurb "Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him . . .
Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her . . .
When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible. At least not yet . . .
I am not going to say more about the plot, because anymore would be spoiling it. I will say that these are two unforgettable, unpredictable characters that surprised me and had me rooting for them! This story is so much more than the blurb promises. These characters have so much depth. They both accomplish things that the other inspired them to do. They serve as catalysts for each others positive and individual growth.
There will be moments where your heartbreaks, but when those moments end, you will be left feeling like you are the one who just found the love of your life.
This is the beauty of Mia Sheridan's writing. She has become an automatic buy for me. She is a wonderful writer who really knows how convey the depth of emotions that her characters are feeling. If you like leading men who are strong, honest and have a strong moral compass- you will love Carson Stinger. If love leading ladies who are smart, loyal and tenacious, you will love Grace. There are absolutely no stupid misunderstandings that lead to pointless separations. There is no useless drama. These characters make the right choices at every turn. It's a refreshing story line.
I sometimes find myself getting tired of contemporary romances that all read the same. Sometimes I just want something lovely without angsty, angry characters who bloody each other before they finally realize they are in love.
