Manwhore +1 (Manwhore, #2)Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My goodness. This was a thrill to read. Katy Evans REALLY delivered the good with this book. It had every element I love in romance novels and even a few I don't... But I thought it was utter perfection. Malcolm Saint is divine. What a man. This book picks up right where Manwhore left off. I HIGHLY recommend that you read Manwhore first. Rachel and Malcolm's reunion is so fraught with tension and sadness and so much hope. I loved the development of the relationship. So what I loved: 1) Malcolm Saint is incredible. Gorgeous and flawed (but not so flawed that it makes him crazy) and super rich. But he is really just a regular guy who has made the most of his circumstances and wants someone who sees him for who he really is. He is not jerk. He doesn't lie, play games or lash out in a hurtful way when he is angry. He is brilliant and honest and hard working. I haven't liked a male character this much in a contemporary romance...ever. I have been dying for the 5th installation of the Crossfire series and now, I don't even care. I want more Malcolm and Rachel. Speaking of Rachel, her insecurity was tedious. I mean jeez, you had to be blind to not see how serious he was about her and he did nothing to warrant her constant digs about him being a "player". But, I liked her, too. She has a big heart and she loves her Mom. I am glad she did the right thing when it came to Malcolm without wavering. This was really well written. I bought the audio book, too so I could listen in my car and while I was making dinner. I couldn't stop. The epilogue was perfect. She wrapped everything up in a pretty little box. It is not spoiling it to say their HEA was epic. I laughed with delight when they finally got there. You won't be sorry to spend your hard earned $8 on this book. Don't skim...every word is perfect and there is nothing superfluous in this story. Unless you get tired of hearing about Malcolm's eyes, or face...and I didn't. I will be re-reading again very soon. This is on a level with Loretta Chase's Lord of Scoundrels in my opinion. Enjoy!
