Where to begin about the ways I loved this book...
I really don't know where to begin. The story felt like an epic one. SO much happened in the span of a few months and yet it felt like the characters (Ty and Lexi) had been working towards their HEA forever.
Ty and Lexi are thrown together by someone who owes Ty big time and at the same time has Lexi under his thumb. As the book summary says, Ty is released from prison after serving a long sentence for a crime he did not commit. He is bent of vengeance and has asked a man who is indebted to him to have a woman pick him up from prison. He wants this woman to play a key role in him being able to rebuild his life. He did not expect to walk out of prison and find a beautiful, bright and honest woman waiting for him. As he takes steps to return home and continue building his dreams that were deferred because of his sentence- he finds that he has no choice but to make room in his life and his heart for Lexi. Lexi has had a lot of hard knocks in life and doesn't expect anything great to come her way. So, when she drives to California to pick up Ty from prison, she is expects to find a hardened criminal who she will have to spend a few days-at most- with. Instead, what she finds is a big, beautiful man with a good heart and a generous spirit. She decides that she wants to hold on to him. She has her work cut out of her, but Ty is worth it.

There are A LOT of fretful, anxious moments in this book. The characters both do things that will have you screaming at them to "STOP!" but they manage to get it together. I was rooting for them almost as soon as they met.

I LOVE Kristen Ashley. I am really obsessed with her books and her writing. I do think that the stories could be edited down a little, but honestly- they are great just the way the are. You can really picture the scenes in your mind and it makes the characters really come to life. I am not sure that I would be able to handle any of her Alpha male characters in real life, but gosh they are amazingly sexy in her books. And Ty is no exception. I don't mind the language or the dialogue. I get lost in her books and Lady Luck is one of my favorites. You get visits from characters from the previous Colorado Mountains books. This book has it all. Drama, humor, suspense, romance and a lot of hot sex. It's long, but I read it in 2 days (I have a full time job and 2 little kids) by getting up early, staying up late and listening to the audio version while I was in my car. I felt a little crazy, but I couldn't put it down. Get the audio version, Emma Taylor is an amazing narrator. She narrates the entire series and she moves from character to character flawlessly. Her accents (especially Nina's) are perfect.

You'll enjoy this!
